The updated Anodontosaurus waddles into the fray, now fully updated with the new Area of Effect system and a complete rework of its defensive Crouched Stance!

Crouch for AoE Attacks...

This tanky herbivore now relies on a tactical new mechanic called 'Crouched Stance', a reimagining of it’s previous “Hunker Down” ability. Anodonto must now charge into its stance by crouching for several seconds before it can unleash its devastating AoE tail attacks. While in Crouched Stance, Anodontosaurus gains access to its most powerful tools.

Once crouched and ready, Anodontosaurus can choose between two crushing tail attacks:

• Tail Slam: a reliable AoE tail sweep that damages nearby enemies.
• Tail Smash: a larger and more powerful version with a longer wind-up, extended range, and higher stamina cost.

Both abilities now use the new AoE damage system, meaning damage scales with proximity to the impact zone with enemies closer to the center taking significantly more punishment. Anodontosaurus can also improve these attacks by equipping the 'Dazing Impacts' ability to apply the Dazed status effect to all targets hit by its tail slams, or instead equip 'Shockwave' to widen the AoE attack radius and catch even more enemies in the blast!

...Or Swing with powerful Tail Clubs

But Anodontosaurus's power doesn't end at tail slams.

When not in its Crouched Stance, it gains access to its reworked 'Tail Attack' and a 'Bone Snap' attacks, both of which now apply the 'Tenderized' status effect. Each hit adds a stack of “Tenderized” to the target, and once the max is reached, the target will no longer be able to shrug off any additional bone breaks! This opens the door for Anodontosaurus to follow up with brutal bone-breaking combos to wear down even the toughest foes.

Anodontosaurus also boasts two powerful armor-boosting abilities. 'Fortification' increases its armor for a short time with each incoming hit, perfect for drawn-out duels, and 'Reinforced Plates' activates automatically once Anodonto's health falls below 50%, granting a significant armor increase when it needs it the most. And finally, when things are looking really grim, Anodontosaurus comes equipped with 'Adrenaline Rush', a passive ability that triggers once its health drops too low. It reduces all Anodontosaurus's attack cooldowns, and lets it strike back faster. This means Anodontosaurus is an even bigger threat when cornered.
