Hey everyone! We’re excited to showcase the updated Concavenator - featuring a full ability rework that lets this carnivore specialize in new and deadly ways. With updated abilities and new combat tools, Concavenator can now carve out its place as a versatile threat, whether you prefer bleed-focused gameplay, or aquatic tactics. Here’s a breakdown of what’s new in the Concavenator TLC.

Bleeder Playstyle

For Concavenators who enjoy wearing their enemies down, the Bleeder Playstyle turns it into a cunning damage-over-time predator. Rend is a central ability for this playstyle: a delayed bite that deals medium bleed and solid damage. The slight wind-up time makes it tricky to land, but the payoff is powerful.

Snarl adds a great utility option to further amplify Concavenator's bleed potential,. This vocal ability weakens its target’s ability to heal bleeding damage for a short time. It’s ideal for bleeding-focused Concavenators, ensuring its opponents lose their edge in combat as they struggle to recover.

And for those Concavenators fully committing to the bleeder role, Bloodthirsty changes the game. With this passive ability, any of your bleed-inflicting attacks also heal you over time, letting you hold your ground in extended fights while your enemies slowly bleed out.

Hybrid Playstyle

If you prefer a more flexible approach, the Hybrid Playstyle gives you options on both land and in water.

The Slash ability is at the core of this build. A claw attack with effects that change depending on your environment. Use it underwater to boost your bleed output, or stay on land to gain increased base damage. This ability encourages adaptive play, letting you adjust your strategy based on where the fight takes place.

Bright Sail also adds to this hybrid playstyle by turning negative status effects into an advantage. When Concavenator is hit with conditions like venom, bleed, toxin, or other damaging status effects, Bright Sail boosts both Conca's bleed damage and armor. It also flushes Conca's sail with a bright red colour while it's active. Bright sail is a very useful ability when dealing with status-heavy opponents.

Diver Playstyle

And for those that want to specialize in aquatic combat, this TLC offers a set of powerful tools that lets Concavenator become the sailed piranha of the waterways. First, the Nictitating Membrane ability now grants the ability dive, making it a must-have for any aquatic-focused Concavenator. Diving opens up advanced underwater movement, allowing for ambushes, escapes, and repositioning beneath the water's surface.

Surge is a key ability for this aquatic playstyle: a lunging bite that tears a meat chunk from Conca's prey while slowing them down. Eating this meat chunk restores both stamina and oxygen, making Surge essential for Concavenator to stay submerged underwater for longer periods.

Riptide further enhances Concavenator's aquatic damage. It’s a bite attack that deals increased damage if the target is wet, making it perfect for underwater ambushes or even land fights when it’s raining.

Fishy Breath introduces an interesting supportive element to water gameplay. After eating a fish, Conca can grant buffs to nearby allies, adding extra utility as a packmate. And, finally, the new Muffled Roar vocal call boosts both Conca's underwater mobility and status effect healing, making it invaluable for drawn-out water combat encounters. Whether Concavenator is escaping danger or keeping the pressure on, this call keeps it fast and hard to corner.

We’re looking forward to seeing how players experiment with these new Concavenator abilities. Whether you’re out for blood, or seek to master the waterways, the Concavenator is a great dinosaur for players that love mobility and careful hunting. Thanks for your support, and as always, we’ll be listening for your feedback. See you next time!
