Hello again! We wanted to give the community another update on our progress for this month! We’ve been working on some really exciting content, so let’s check it out!
Bagaceratops and Silesaurus
We’ve been making some good progress with our two newest critters, Bagaceratops and Silesaurus. Each critter has been completely set up in-game and we are just doing the finishing touches. We’ve got some sneak peeks for you here, so take a look!
The Silesaurus has now been fully modelled, has its skin, a full set of vocalizations and animations, and we’re preparing for its final implementation into the game. The plan for the Silesaurus's behavior is for it to be very skittish and quick, often grouping together a bit like deer. However, if provoked by smaller creatures, it will lash out with kicks and scratches to defend itself.
Alongside Silesaurus, we’re also making the final touches to another critter which is on the way, the Bagaceratops! Bagaceratops is a small protoceratopsid from the Cretaceous period, and will play the role of a tiny aggressive herbivore. Perfect for smaller dinosaurs to test their skills on!
Bone Break Rework
We are also working on adjusting the Bone Break mechanic to make its effect less punishing for players. Bone Break will soon be split up into two statuses: Bone Break and Fractures.
Attacks will no longer be able to directly break a bone and cause the dramatic slowing effect. Instead, these same attacks will now cause a Fracture. The fracture will build up over time with each consecutive attack, causing the afflicted target to move slower and slower. Once the fractures reach a certain point, they will trigger a full broken bone, which will act similarly to the current bone break.
We will share more about this mechanic update as progress continues, but for now you can check out these new visual effects for Bone Break.
New Trophies
Our art team has also been working on some new trophies for you to hunt down and collect! These include a Megalania’s hand, a raptor’s claw, an Eotriceratops’ horns and the crest of a Lambeosaurus, with more to come as we continue to work on improving in-game visuals!
We also wanted to let you all know that the Frightful Skin Pack is available in our store page for a limited time. These skin packs help fund our development, allowing us to keep working to bring new content and improvements to Path of Titans. Thank you for reading, and we’ll see you next month!
