Hey everyone! Today we are pleased to bring you the latest dinosaur TLC, The Sarcosuchus. With this update, the Sarcosuchus is getting an updated model, animations, and an ability-rework. This rework will make this megacroc a deadly ambush predator, ready to attack from the waters and drag its prey back into the murky depths.

Ambush Playstyle

For those lazy megacrocs that like to wait for their meal to come to them, there’s the Ambush Build. Focused on waiting and stalking prey before breaking out of the water and catching them off-guard.

Biding Time slows the Sarcosuchus’s hunger depletion while you wait patiently in the water, as your stillness lets you go unbothered by passing critters. You can also stop oxygen drain completely with Patient Lurking, which also includes additional underwater damage.

Dreadful Presence keeps prey on high alert and distracted while they eat or drink near your waters slowing down their replenishment, giving you more time to position and ready yourself for the attack.

Break the silence with Gator Dash giving the Sarco a burst of speed, lunging forward on the already weary dinos. Giving you the advantage while they struggle to flee.

Then, with the familiar Clamp ability, grab on and drag smaller prey into the waters. When combined with the standard Bite attack it performs any croc’s signature move, the ‘death roll’, dealing damage while you keep them tightly between your jaws.

If they happen to break free, Asphyxiating Snap will deal minor damage and drain their oxygen as they fight to break the surface. Use this ambusher playstyle to lead your victims to their murky demise.

Muddied Playstyle

If you’d prefer sunbathing over real bathing, we have the Muddied Build just for you. This set of abilities focuses on the Mud status. Sarcos with this status will appear covered in mud, only washing off in rain, by entering the water, or being damaged by other players.

Muddy Scales is an activated Hide ability. The Sarcosuchus will roll in the dirt covering itself with mud and can stack it with multiple uses, gaining up to 50% increased armor. Pair this with Caked On to really make the mud stick and persist longer in the rain and water.

If anything tries to sneak up behind you, use Swerve to quickly spin around 180 degrees and snap with your jaws, dealing bonus damage when on land.

When prey is just out of reach, Mud Slide quickly slides the Sarco forward in a short dash, using up some of your layered-on mud but preserving stamina.

With extra armor and increased mobility, the Sarcosuchus is able to become a more mobile land-croc and take the fight to its land-dwelling prey.

We are looking forward to how players will combine Sarcosuchus’s new abilities. Whether you like to wait for the right moment to overwhelm your prey to drag them back into the water where they can’t escape, or bask in mud and sun while dominating the land, we hope this ambush megacroc gives you that toothy grin.
