Hey everyone! Today we wanted to spotlight the new Leedsichthys! This massive fish once roamed the oceans of the Jurassic period, and now it swims in our waters here in Path of Titans. While its meals consist of tiny krill clouds, its size makes it a strong brawler of the deep, able to stave off foes with its thick scales and crushing attacks that use the pressure of the ocean to create debilitating concussive effects.
Food Volumes
The Leedsichthys is a filter feeder, relying on clouds of prehistoric krill. This new food source will appear across the waters of our maps. When the Leeds is hungry it can approach the cloud and press E to start filtering through the water for the nutritious crustaceans, depleting the swarm which then requires some time to replenish. The Leedsichthys will have to migrate around the map to continue supporting itself on krill and occasionally competing with other Leeds for resources. Soon this interactive Food Volume system will be extended to other creatures like grazing herbivores and bug-catching flyers.
Food Volumes will also soon be available to modders. Krill can be swapped out for anything, and the animations that feeding creatures play are also free to edit. We are excited to see how the community uses these new food source types in their future creations!
And with that, let’s turn our attention back to the big fish.

Crowd Control
The Leedsichthys can use its size in the water to control their enemies, slowing them down with fracture damage, and then dragging them in with its krill-eating maw and massive tail.
With your enemies closing in, use Resonant Call to remove any status immunities and ensure your Bone Breaking attacks stick over the length of the battle.
Burst will let out a concussive pressure wave, damaging nearby foes with Fracture damage.
The sense Shockwave will increase the range of AOEs and reduce damage to any groupmates.
Inhale to draw in water and stop them from fleeing, pulling them in and briefly disabling their ability to sprint.
Undertow swings your tail in a circle, creating a water vortex, decreasing incoming damage while pulling in and damaging nearby enemies.
Tireless will reduce the stamina cost of all attacks allowing you to continue stifling their escape with your heavy attacks.
These abilities will make the Leedsichthys difficult to out-maneuver while trapping would-be predators in your attack range...escape or be crushed!

Living Tank
The Leedsichthys may be a large meal for hungry hunting parties, but its ability to absorb damage gives it time to slowly wear down its attackers and either counterattack or slip away.
Cracked Scales will build up as you swim your way through the waters. These scales provide extra armor and status healing for each stack. However, each attack you endure will reduce your amount of Cracked Scales.
Your Looming Presence will intimidate nearby small and medium dinosaurs, reducing their armor and making them vulnerable to your attacks.
Sturdy will also grant immunity to the first knockback received, with a short cooldown before it can activate again.
Strike back with Headbutt, applying Stun to anything hit, reducing their speed and disabling their abilities.
If your foes use negative effects like venom or bleed, you can use Shed Scales to drop the affected scales, cleansing you of debuffs. Scales will rebuild over time, ready to be shed again if needed.
Use Crushing Pressure before the fight to apply its unique effect to your attacks. Crushing Pressure will slowly drain foes of their oxygen, reducing their time underwater and thus in the fight.
With these abilities, Leeds will be a difficult meal for any predator, requiring a protracted and costly fight. Leedsichthys doesn't have an oxygen meter when in water, it is a fish after all, so predators venturing into the deep will do well to mind their air and the Leed’s ability to keep you from it!

We are excited to see how players will use Leedsichthys to brawl with other aquatics, towing them in and absorbing damage, as well as trawling krill in the deep. We hope you enjoy Leedsichthys and we look forward to hearing your feedback. As always, thank you, and we’ll see you soon!
